James Dawson EXCLUSIVE Reveal!

Ladies and gentleman, fasten your seatbelts because you're in a bumpy ride in the next few minutes and the reward is oh so sweet!

Long term readers of the blog and of my twitter will know I am sure, that I am a massive fan of James Dawson and have absolutely adored the books he's already published. From the dark world of witchcraft in Hollow Pike, to the sunlit murders in Cruel Summer, to this years bone-chilling instalment, Say Her Name, he can do no wrong and just like everyone else out there who has fallen in love with Jame's prose and characters, am absolutely dying to see what he has up his sleeves next...

Well... That wait is over!

Today, it gives me great pleasure to host the unveiling of James' next book! Whilst the cover is still under construction, I have today the honour of revealing the title and the acompanying synopsis... Brace yourself folks, it sounds INCREDIBLE... Let's go...

Under My Skin by James Dawson.

"Shy, retiring wallflower Sally Feather has never done anything wild in her life. A tattoo would be out of the question, but there's just something about Molly Sue, a stunning pin-up girl tattoo she sees in The House of Skin tattoo parlour.

Feeling daring, Sally agrees to the tattoo, but before she's even healed, Molly Sue starts whispering to Sally. And she's telling her to do very bad things...

UNDER MY SKIN is the chilling new nightmare from the international bestselling author of SAY HER NAME, CRUEL SUMMER and HOLLOW PIKE."

Oh boy! How amazing does that sounds? Sounds so good and so so creepy! If it's as scary as Say Her Name I know I'll be sleeping with the light on for a bit when I read it! Ha! I cannot wait to read it or see the cover! Argh! So exciting.

Thank you so much to James for this, you're amazing, and Hot Key Books! Fantastic stuff, so grateful you chose me to do the big reveal! Such an honour! :)

So, what do you think about how Under My Skin sounds? Are you looking forward to it? Comment below!!

ZOM-B Gladiator cover unveiled and ZOM-B 7 gets a name!

Ooh! This week has been a very exciting one for fans of Mr. Darren Shan. On Thursday, Halloween no less, the master of horror revealed the cover on his official facebook page!

Ooh! Look at that! Nice! It's kind of hard to tell what's going on, it's quite up close, isn't it? There looks to be some time of fabric under the face, something being stuck on it? I don't know. All I know is I like it, and while it's a little quieter than the previous six covers in the sense that we can't actually see who it is or anything like that, it's still so striking and you just know it's going to look amazing next to rest of the series!

And then on Friday, Darren also revealed the title for the seventh book.

Zom-B Mission

ARGH! I cannot wait! Darren teased us with a little info about Zom-B Mission on his blog saying that while he can't say much, it's the start of the second half of the series and that from here on in there are no pauses for breath, that the first half is all about setting up the major players in the story that's about to unfold in the latter half. Lordy, that sounds so exciting!

Zom-B Gladiator is published in January, and Zom-B Mission will follow in April.

Title for Taken 2 is unveiled...

I for one adored Taken the first book in the (well...) Taken trilogy (I think it's a trilogy, it's a trilogy right? Correct me if I'm wrong please...) by Erin Bowman and I have been anticipating news on the second book ever since! If you haven't read Taken yet, you need to right this wrong right away, and why not check out my review (which can be found here) if you need any more persuading...

Well just moments ago, I got my wish. Erin herself has just unveiled the title for book 2! ARGH! Without further ado it is...

Oh man I love it. I cannot wait. She also revealed the official publication date. Mark 15th April 2014 in your diaries, calendars  smartphones or whatever else it is you use to mark important dates!

If you're in America you can get Taken right now at all book shops. If not, and you're from the UK like me, or elsewhere, why not check out The Book Depository? Free delivery world wide folks! That's where I got my hardback from and it was super cheap. I'll pop the link down below!

What do you think of the title? Are you going to read Frozen? Taken first though, yeah?!

News: Marcus Sedgwick's White Crow to be made into a movie!!!

Whoa whoa whoa! Stop. What?! This amazing book that gave me bare chills in the middle of Summer, made me feel like I was on the windy cliffs, the sea spray hitting my face along with Rebecca and Ferelith is about to be made into a film that I can go and see in an actual cinema, with my own actual eyes?! Well colour me excited!! This is by far my favourite book Marcus has written yet so I cannot wait to see this! He's a fantastic writer and you should all go and check him out. Notably, White Crow, and his new book, Midwinterblood, which I am actually in the middle of reading (and it's ace - if slightly weird!)

Check out the press release below! (And for those interested, my review of White Crow can be found here!)

Independent financier and production company Kerry, Kimmel and Pollack (KK&P) has secured the rights and will co-finance and co-produce the novel WHITE CROW, written by Marcus Sedgwick. The film will be produced and/or executive produced by Kami Garcia, NYT bestselling co-author of The Beautiful Creatures Series, Mark Morgan (The Twilight Saga), Michael Pollack (Quattrocento) & Brett Hudson (Cloud 9).
WHITE CROW is a psychological thriller that centers on a 16 year-old girl who moves to a sleepy seaside town with a deadly past, and discovers what’s on the other side of death.
KK&P plans to shoot the film in the fall of 2012 on Isle of Man, located within the British Isles.
The author, Marcus Sedgwick, has been nominated for the Carnegie Medal, the Edgar Allan Poe, and the Guardian Children’s Book Prize.
WHITE CROW marks Kami Garcia’s entrance into the world of film and television production. While some Young Adult and Adult authors are currently producing their own novels, Garcia is not only producing her upcoming solo novel Unbreakable: Book 1 in The Legion Series from Little, Brown (also with Mark Morgan and KK&P), but other film and television properties as well.
