The Maze Runner movie gets official release date!

So. We've got a Divergent movie coming out next March. Amazing. I cannot wait! Of course there is Mockingjay Part 1 in November. Brilliant. Any more of my favourite books want to be adapted into a movie and released at some point in 2014? Oh... Wait... What is this? The Maze Runner... Hell yes! I love this trilogy, the first book in particular is amazing. And it has now officially been announced that the movie will come out (in America anyway, hopefully the UK release won't be that different...) on 14th February 2014! That's right. Valentine's Day.

I for one am pretty damn excited. If done right, it could make an amazing film! Bring it on!

Angel Fever cover art unveiled

Good lord I have waited so long for this moment. It seems like a life time ago I sat down on that dreary day and it was brightened by the events unfolding before me in a little book called Angel by L.A. Weatherly. Fast forward 3 years and the days are passing by at a painfully slow pace. They need to go quicker. Much quicker. Like fast forward to the 1st October quicker would be nice... Because on that day we finally get to know how it all ends. And boy am I excited! 

Finally the cover art for Angel Fever has been unveiled and it's a beaut...

Just... Gah. I'll be the first to admit that Alex and Seb aren't exactly as I'd imagine them but that doesn't matter. I just can't wait! ARGH! :D

Time Riders 8 Title and Cover Art

Alex Scarrow's Time Riders series is nearing the end. The latest instalment, The Pirate King's came out this week, and already things are gearing up for the release of the eighth, and penultimate, instalment in the nine book saga. It's called The Mayan Prophecy, and is due in bookshops at the start of August. And below, you can feast your eyes on the cover which looks stunning. I for one need to catch up. Haven't read Book Five and Six and now Seven. Yikes!

Today started awful and migraine-filled... Now it's getting better! First one new cover and now another! This time it's for Zom-B Angel, the fouth book in Darren Shan's Zom-B series! And it is AWESOME! It's got B on the front! What more could you ask for?!

Amazing! It's out in June!!!

The US edition artwork was released a short while ago and it's a corker! 

Gory. Love it. And upon reflection, and especially after seeing the US edition, I'm not so keen on our one. Don't suppose it matters as I get both the UK and US editions anyway because I'm funny like that. Want both sets. Haha!

The release of a new Michelle Paver book is a very very VERY special event in my household, mainly because I demand it to be so. My family hear all about it for weeks, months even, before the release. She is perhaps, as I have said many times before, one of my favourites, if not my ultimate favourite. I just love her and her books. And so imagine my excitement when this pops up... Only the cover for The Burning Shadow, book 2 in her current series, Gods and Warriors... Bit of squeeing to follow....

ARGH! It's bright. It's on fire. And there is a lion cub. Holy cow, can August hurry up already?!?!?! Please!

A Courtesy Post...

Hi guys. This is just a quick one about my recent quiet front on Twitter and on here.

It's been a stressful few weeks. Some drama went down at work - unwarranted if you ask me, but there you go - which left me feeling pretty drained and stressed out. I have read a few bits and bobs but had too much going on to finish anything. And then come the headaches. Oh the aches. Started off little - manageable - but they have grown to full blown migraines. Amazing. Been to the doctor today and I have trapped air behind my eardrum which is contributing... Yay.

Got some medicine though so that should hopefully be the end of it and the end of a mental few weeks.
